The Green Model Higher Secondary School, Doda hold the core values Child Centric, Innovation, Mutual Respect and Commitment to Excellence firmly which form the foundation on which we perform and conduct ourselves. The school follows the syllabi prescribed by Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education and provides facilities to the children to study various subjects including computer.

1. Elementary School – Toddler Town

Covering Nursery, L.K.G , and U.K.G, the elementary school adopts a non-formal approach to learning. Children here are encouraged to explore their environment while also being taught basic concepts in language, mathematics, art and craft and phonetics. Activities at this level are designed to develop fine motor skills and enhance sensory development with an integration of physical education through trained personnel. In a nurturing environment they would develop an awareness of themselves as responsible and capable learners for the first time

2. Primary School

Spanning classes I – V, the primary school is the child’s introduction to full day school. This stage of school aims to build on the child’s growing spirit of discovery and exploration. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of sound language skills, mathematical concepts and scientific fundamentals. The children are encouraged to develop good study habits and a love for learning.

3. Middle School

Comprising classes VI to VIII, this stage sees the detailing of history, civics, geography, and science, as separate subjects. VIII class has the first board examinations.

4. High School

Comprising classes IX to X, this stage sees the detailing of physics, chemistry, biology and history, civics and geography as separate subjects. X class has the board examinations.

5. Higher Secondary School

Comprising classes XI to XII, this stage gives the students the opportunity to choose the desired subjects. The streams offered by Green Model Higher Secondary School, Doda are “Faculty of Science” and “Faculty of Humanities”. XI and XII class both have the board examinations.
